Rochester: Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at age 78 peacefully at home. Predeceased by his brother, Elmo. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joyce Raymond; children, Dion (Debbie) Raymond, Su (Ziriga "Josh" ) Oteme, Chris (Cindy) Raymond and Eric (Susan) Raymond; grandchildren, Yahoud, Alexandra, Benjamin, Evan and Angelique; brothers, Donald (Mary) and Daniel (Joyce) Raymond; nieces and nephews.
David was a member of the Irondequoit Bay Fish and Game Club and the Genesee Conservation League.
Family and friends may call Saturday, March 28th, 1-4 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. During the calling hours a Prayer Service will be held at 1:30 PM and a Military Service will be held at 4 PM. A Celebration of his Life immediately following the Military Honors will be held at the Irondequoit Bay Fish and Game Club. Private Service and Interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Irondequoit Bay Fish and Game Club, Children's Education Fund, 658 Bay Front Lane South, Rochester, NY 14609 or Veterans Outreach, 455 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620 in David's memory.
