Delbert 'Buddy' Russell Adams, born York, NY Aug, 26, 1924 passed 6:55pm Jan. 27, 2018. Predeceased by parents Russell and Goldie (Minor) Adams, Sisters Irene 'Nanna' White, Helen Madison, daughter; Audrey (Anderson) Adams.
Predeceased by his wife Josephine Adams.
Survived by his partner; Earlene Oxendine, Son; Delbert Adams II, stepdaughter; Shannon Copper, a host of grandchildren, nieces, Monique and Monica McLaurin; niece; Linda Pearson, nephews, relatives and friends.
He served in the Army CPI 1943, 184th Engineer Combat Battalion as a 5th grade Engineer and received an honorable discharge Nov.14, 1945. Delbert was a faithful employee of CP Ward for over 35 years.
Family will meet friends at the Lake Ave. gate of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 10 am Friday, February 2, 2018 for graveside services. Full honors by the US Army will follow committal prayers.
Friends are invited are welcome to attend a luncheon at the family home following the service.
