After a long struggle, Del's starting a new journey in Heaven. Passing away peacefully on, April 20, 2023 at the age of 82 with his beloved wife Beatrice at his side.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph S. & Agnes Smith; grandchildren, Stacy & Johnny Pittman; dogs, DJ & Pooch.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Beatrice Smith; Children, Hope (Jim) Weaver, Douglas (Rebecca) Donovan, Delbert Jr. (Linda) Smith, Christine Pittman, Steven, Michelle, & Elaine Smith; sisters, Donna Lewis & Dava (Larry) Schmerbeck; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; several adored cats; special niece Crystal (Nick) Yingling along with other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Del was an avid sportsfan, particularly baseball loving his Yankees and never missing a game. Del was deeply devoted to not only his cats and dogs but all animals, donating frequently to their care. In honor of Del and his love for animals contributions may be made to:

Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 25th from 4-7PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 26th at St. Charles Borromeo Church 3003 Dewey Ave, Rochester, NY 14616 at 9:30AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave.
