Penfield - Went home to his Lord and Savior on June 17, 2024 at the age of 97.
He was born in Italy in 1926, and came to America at eight months old. He proudly served in the Navy during World War II. After college, he worked at Eastman Kodak as a draftsman and mechanical engineer. In his retirement years, he could often be found in his workshop designing and working on various projects, most notably the Christmas village for his granddaughters, whom he adored. He was an avid train collector, and also designed a large train yard table displaying tracks, buildings, and his train collection.
Del is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Susan Padula; son, Jack Padula; daughter, Paula (Ray) Kent; granddaughters, Kimberly (Steve) Frink and Kaitlin (Matt) Confer; his brother, Mario Padula and many loved nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father, Giacinto Padula, mother, Pauline L. Padula, and brothers Anthony and Reno Padula.
Del's family wish to extend their sincerest gratitude to the Veteran Service agencies of Rochester, NY, RGH/Lifetime Home Care and Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center. A special thank you to Dr. Kellin King, Sami Berman, PA, nurses Kathy, Mike, Angela and nurse's aide, Michelle.
Del's Funeral Service will be held 9:45 am Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at White Haven Memorial Park, All Seasons Chapel, 210 Marsh Road.
