Diane Zielinski

Passed away on, Monday May 8th at the age of 79.

Predeceased by her husband William S. Zielinski Jr.; step-daughter, Betsy Monaghan; siblings, Jennifer Wahl, Thomas Ferguson; parents, Thomas & Mary Ferguson.

She is survived by her step children, William (Karen Lee Sobol) Zielinski & their daughter Sara; Susan Zielinski, James Monaghan & his daughters Kate & Michaela Monaghan; sisters, Catherine Levy & Sheila Murphy & her children, Patrick Murphy & Bridget (Sean) Walsh. Jennifer's daughter, Hannah McCormick & her children El, MaryRose & Kestrel.

She dearly loved her nieces, nephew & step-grandchildren.

Survived by many cousins & the special people in her life, Sr. Jody Kearney, Samantha Carbone, Karen Verrone, Eddie Dunn, Marifran Cooper, Wendy Ream, Lindee Ohlman, Kathy & Colleen from Irondequoit Animal Hospital.

Diane was a generous, kind, intelligent & talented person. She was an artist who loved movies & musicals. She enjoyed singing everywhere, including the golf course. She supported animal rescues & loved animals, especially her dogs & cats, Dolly, Joey, BoBo, Lala & Jenny.

She appreciated the frequent calls from William Zielinski, Susan Zielinski & James Monaghan.

She was grateful for everyone who helped her, particularly over this last year, including Dr. Edith Dale, Patrick Murphy, Hannah & Brian McCormick, her hospice nurse, Irene & her dear friend, kindred soul, golf partner & helper in all things, Sue Reynolds.


In honor of Diane, contributions may be made to an animal rescue of your choosing.


Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
