October 10th, 1928- May 21st, 2019
Dolores Mae Pugh went to be with the Lord on May 21st, 2019. Dolores was surrounded by her family in her home in Spencerport, NY.
Dolores was born October 10th, 1928 in Rome, NY. Dolores was predeceased by her mother, Phoebe Smith, her brothers Horace and Kenneth Smith, and sister Ruth DeVey.
Dolores is survived by her devoted and loving husband, William E. Pugh of 69 years, and three children, Linda Byrd (predeceased Roger), Ralph W. Pugh (Debbie), Donna Mae Daum (Ned Evans). Dolores and William were married on February 25th, 1950 and had a life filled with many adventures and blessings.
Dolores is also survived by grandchildren, Kristin Pugh Via (Pat), Jason Pugh (Anne), Amanda Holdraker (Wade), Dave Byrd, Jeff Byrd, Christopher Daum (Diane), Scott Daum (Tinita), and Jeremy Daum. Dolores was also a proud Great- Grandmother to Ethan and Norah Via, Camryn, Grayson and Nolan Holdraker, Austin and Tyler Pugh, Jeremy Lewis, Justin and James Daum, and Makenzi Greek and Noah Daum as well as several nieces and nephews.
When Dolores was young, she would fill her days with bowling, gardening, playing cards, traveling, "out fishing her husband when given the chance", taking care of her poodles, baking and cooking for friends and family, spending time at "Pugh's Paradise" where they enjoyed retirement together, and always surrounding herself with the people she loved most. Despite her numerous health obstacles, Dolores never stopped sharing her love for her family and friends. Anyone who knew Dolores admired her for her strength, grace, and devotion to her husband, Bill and her family.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the compassion and care given by Miriah Moll, Kerry Allen, and Kelly Rose during her final years with us.
Relatives and friends are invited to join us in celebrating the life of Dolores Pugh at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester, NY 14626 on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at one o'clock pm until four o'clock with a service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance.
To know her, was to love her.
