Blessedly released after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at age 75. Predeceased by his sisters, Angie and Mary; brother, Ralph. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth of 47 years; children, David (Lisa), Christopher (Wendy), Matthew (AnnMarie); grandchildren, Christian, Julianne, Jaime, Aaron, Alexa and Gianna; brother, Michael; several nieces and nephews. Dominic was a member of the Rochester Fire Fighters Benevolent Association, retired after 30 years as a Lieutenant with the Rochester City Fire Dept., an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion Post #941.
Family and friends may call Tuesday 4-8 at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
