ROCHESTER- Donald Blahyj, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 5, 2020.
Donald was born in Rochester, NY on October 14, 1952 to the late Myroslaw and Iwanna Blahyj. Donald worked as a commercial painter with KJM Painting and Wallcoverings, which he operated.
Donald is predeceased by his son, Steven Blahyj, his mother, Iwanna Blahyj, and his father, Myroslaw Blahyj.
He is survived by the love of his life, his fiancé, Kimberly Marrese, Rochester, NY, his daughters; Andrea Blahyj, Tampa, FL, Natalie (Michael) Blahyj-Payne, Rochester, NY, his grandchildren; Johnny Wilson, Xavier Blahyj, Jordan Higdon, Ziah Blahyj, Steven Blahyj, Julius Williams, Michael Payne III and Liliana Payne. Siblings; Walter (Tami) Blahyj and Ihor (Linda) Blahyj, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends
Don was the epitome of strength, hard work, self-sacrifice and letting nothing keep you down. He loved spending time at the races, the neighborhood saloon, gardening, barbequing, being a loving dad and grandfather. He taught us that if you spend too much time talking, you won't hear what is going on.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester, NY 14609 on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 4:00pm-7:00pm.
