Don was born September 14, 1933, passed peacefully Sunday, December 20, 2020, at age 87 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Ellen (Helling), and survived by his daughters, Marie (Mike) O'Brien, Sharon Zirbel (Alan Meisenzahl) and Trudy (Mark) Wyman; grandchildren, Kylie (Christian) Yanchula, Jeremy (Marissa) Zirbel, Jason Zirbel, Cooper O'Brien and Joe Wyman.
A Navy veteran, Don practiced medicine at the Genesee Health Service at Genesee Hospital.
Don loved nature and spending time outdoors, he especially enjoyed gardening and golf.
Don was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Penfield and then St. John's Lutheran Church in Victor, New York.
There will be no services at this time.
