Rochester: Passed peacefully Friday, August 21, 2009, at age 61, after a valiant battle with cancer; surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his first wife, Lorraine. He is survived by his loving wife, Marcelline (Hannan); special friend, Maria Rankin Dean; sons, Jason & Eric Dean, and Travis Rankin Dean; brothers, Mark and Ronald Dean. Donald was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War and was a retiree of BOCES #1 in Fairport where he served as Liason Officer in Technology Services for over 20 years.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 27th from 4-7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd., where a service of full Military Honors will be held at 7 PM. Private interment. Memorial contributions may be directed to Veterans Outreach Center, 459 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.
