Scottsville: Monday, March 10, 2008 at age 81. Don is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Anita; children, Wendy Sherman of FL and Wayne (Anne) Sherman; granddaughter, Robertine Hope Preston; brothers and sisters, Morrel (Marion) Sherman of CA, Edwin Sherman, Doris Warmerdam, Dorothy (Robert) Metzler and Paul (Jackie) Sherman; many nieces, nephews and their children. He is predeceased by his sister, Henrietta Shafer.

Don was a WWII Navy veteran and an Eastman Kodak Company retiree. He was a master carpenter and enjoyed helping family and friends. He took great pride in his craftsmanship, often creating new and innovated solutions. In later years, he made beautiful heirloom-quality clocks.

Family and friends may call Friday March 14th, 11 AM to 1 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., followed by a celebration of his life at 1 PM. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Hospital Hospice c/o Hospice of Rochester Lifetime Care in Don's memory.
