Greece: Passed away on, October 25, 2016 at the age of 87.
Predeceased by his son, Douglas (Sylvia).
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Donna; children, Daniel (Edie), David (Beth), & Deborah Cluff; grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Dame, Stephanie (Aaron) Putney, Jessica (Joseph) Burris, Abigail, Rebecca, Thomas, Emily, Timothy, Katherine, Christina (Hunter Wilder) Colombo, John (Shaina) Colombo, Victoria & Tamara Colombo; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Alexa, Olivia, and Evan Dame, Autumn, Anna, Sarah, and Emma Putney, Blake and Blayton Burris, August Wilder, and Alaric Colombo.
Donn graduated ROTC from the Ohio State University and avidly supported Buckeyes football. He was an Army Officer who proudly served in Korea, and ultimately retired, after 32 years as a Product Engineer, from the Film Emulsion & Plate Division at Kodak Park. For many years Donn served in church leadership roles at local churches in Greece. Donn was an avid photographer and life-long music lover, including singing in the church choir with his wife Donna. He was a frequent contributor to the D&C opinion pages. He will be remembered most for his love of family and his passion for improving the common good.
Family will receive friends 2-5 pm, Sunday, October 30, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. A Memorial Service to celebrate Donn's life will be held Saturday, November 26th, 11AM at Aldersgate UMC, 4115 Dewey Ave., Rochester, NY 14616
Private Interment at Falls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church.
