Rochester: After a courageous battle with Parkinson Disease, on Sunday, March 15th , 2009, at age 78. He is survived by his wife, Maria Boeckmann; brother, Heinz (Bina) Boeckmann; the Ridgeway and Bockmann Families of Canada.
Bert was awfully proud to serve three generations of patients and to make it a point to remember all their families' names in his 40-year career as an optometrist. He touched the lives of many.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 17, from 4-8 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 18, at 10 AM at St. Ambrose Church. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Support Group of Upstate NY, PO Box 23204, Rochester, NY 14692.
