Houston, TX/Rochester: William "Bill" Lange Sr., 95, passed away September 23, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Bill was born January 4, 1921 to Harry and Helen Lange in Flushing, NY.
Bill Lange, a graduate of Columbia and Cornell Universities, was an OBGYN doctor in Rochester, NY and Chief of Staff of Obstetrics at Northside General for 10 years. At his retirement, Bill and his wife, Dorothy, moved to College Station, TX. After Dorothy passed away August 20, 1988, he married Lucille Foehner and moved to Burton, TX, where he remained after her passing on March 7, 2007. Bill later moved to Houston where he resided until his death.
Bill is survived by his children William Allen Lange Jr. (Deborah), Joy Noether (David) and Daniel Lange (Louann) by his first wife, and Rebecca Rohde (Roy) a daughter of Lucille. He is also survived by grandchildren Summer (Tommy) Swallow, Kristen (Zachary) Lind, Cassidy (Jon) Glover and great grandchildren Derek, Allison, Nora Mae, Charlotte Eliza and Jonathan David. He will be missed by all.
The family will hold a private interment. In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, contributions in Bill's memory may be directed to St. Luke's Foundation, 1213 Hermann Dr. Suite 855, Houston, TX 77004.
