E. Ann (Hyde) Free

Ann was born on November 16, 1927 in Auburn, NY to Elizabeth and Lynford Hyde and now rests peacefully in her heavenly home at the age of 97. She grew up in Alexander, NY and graduated from Alexander Central School in 1944 as the class's Salutatorian, then studied at RIT in engineering. She married Walter Pawlowski in Pittsburgh, PA who passed suddenly three years later. After relocating to Ithaca, NY she eventually met the love of her life, married, and had children, making a life filled with creativity. She made many beautiful crocheted and knitted items, quilts, flower arrangements, and flower gardens, and loved her activities with the crafters at the Helderberg Reformed Church in Guilderland Center, where she was a long time member. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed history. She conducted an extensive genealogical study which earned her admission as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved selling Avon products to friends and neighbors into her 80's. 

Survived by her daughters Linda Driscoll (John), Susan Olivares, and Nancy Miller (Steve), grandchildren Sharon Driscoll, Tony Olivares (Lauren), Alex Olivares (Tara), Adam Briseno (Jordan), David and Dana Miller, and great grandchild, Ellie Mae Elizabeth. Predeceased by her husband Stuart, sister Marion 'Freddie' Dale, and grandson Conor Driscoll. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at St. Ann's Nursing home for their love, kindness, and compassion.
