Edeltraut E. Bergmann

Passed peacefully into everlasting life (with family by her side) on Thursday, April 4, 2024.

Born November 1939 in Berlin, Germany, where she grew up and immigrated to Toronto, Canada and then to Rochester, New York.

Edeltraut worked as a Hairdresser/Barber in Germany, Canada and Rochester, NY, where she had her own Beauty Salon for 9 years. She then switched careers and retired as a Sergeant of the Monroe County Sheriffs Dept. after 22 ½ years of service.

She was a Member of ARPALER and SOAR.
She also worked for Lakeshore Country Club for 9 years.
She loved all animals, and all her pets were always adopted.

Predeceased by her parents, Fredy Arnold Bruno and Erna Frieda Betti Bergmann; & sister, Helga Ingrid Vera Roehm

She is survived by her children, Fredy (Janet) Schneider, David (Tracey) Schneider, Patricia Schneider; grandchildren, Nicholas (Michelle) Schneider, twins Henry and Joseph Dinardi, Debbrah (Scott) Dunning, Edward (Linsey) Zeiner, Merle (Courtney) Sweet, Stephanie (Jeff) Gibble, Jessica Schneider, Jonathan (Kelly) Zeiner, Ashley Schneider (Nick), Britney (Elizabeth) Schneider, Kyle Schneider, David (Abby) Bayer, Ryan Abasciano, & Erik Schneider; great-grandchildren Dominic, Joseph Jr, Kahlia, Kaidhen, Landon, Avery, Daxx, Knox, Lila, Emmibelle, Luna, & the newest great grandchild (Jon and Kelly); niece, Ingrid Vera Roehm; grand-nephew, Braiden; cousin, Hans Bergmann.

Friends may call 3-7pm Friday, April 19, 2024 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Rochester, NY 14626. A service, with tribute to her dedicated years of service in the MCSO will be held at 7pm.
