Greece: Passed away peacefully, with his family at his side on April 7, 2013. Ed was a World War II Navy veteran. Ed was predeceased by his beloved wife Lee of 62 years, his brother Jim, his great granddaughter Samantha Gallo, and Samantha's dad Jimmy. Ed is survived by his Son, Michael (Janine) Cook, Daughters Susan Cook, Nancy (Bob) Bottiglier, Patty (Bill) Kadar, and Carol Cook. Grandchildren Wendy (Anthony) Gallucci, Heather (JT) Wilkins, Ken Vanderbeck, Kyle (Julie) Bottiglier, Adam (Lesley) Bottiglier, Kaitlin (Kevin) Ruster, Cory Bottiglier, Zach Kadar, Ben (Lisa) Kadar, Nate Kadar, Jimmy Cook, Jillian Cook, Leanne Cook, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Ed loved his family, the Adirondacks, Ricci's, and a good game of checkers! From his after dinner renditions of "God Bless America" to his witty comments he happily provided to one and all, he was truly unique and will be missed by his family.
The family wants to give a special thanks to the 6th floor staff at St. Ann's Home. A funeral Mass will be held in his memory at St. Ann's Chapel, at St. Ann's Home, 1500 Portland Avenue, on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 10:00AM.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Ed's honor to the St. Ann's Home, 6th Floor, 1500 Portland Ave., Rochester, NY, 14621.
