Greece: On March 25, 2008 at age 92. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Eleanor. Survived by his son, Edward (Donna) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; sisters-in-law, Connie (Calvin) Stroble of Anchorage, AK, Lillian (Bob) Jackson of HI, Lu (Jim) Sargent of FL; brother-in-law, Elmer (Rose) Smith of PA; and many nieces and nephews.
Ed was a retiree of Eastman Kodak, a 53 year member of the Greece American Legion Post #468, a 58 year member of the Masonic Lodge #479. He was a United States Army and Marine Veteran, serving during WWII in the Pacific Theatre and was honorably discharged from both.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27th from 4-7 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue where Services will be held on Friday at 10 AM. Entombment, Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1549 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, NY 14615.
