Macedon, NY: Passed Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at age 85 peacefully at home after a long illness with her loving family at her side. Predeceased by her husband, Donald B. McBurney; parents, Paul and Dorotha K. Calkins; and cousin, John Stevens. She is survived by her son, Dana Stark; grandchildren, Paula (Dan) Looman and Lisa Stark; great-grandchildren, Justin Looman, Nicholas Looman and Truth Hlywa; several nieces & nephews.
Elaine was a graduate of Syracuse University and also an active member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, Eta Chapter in Syracuse for most of her adult life.
Private Service and Interment at Amber Cemetery, Otisco, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 or Lifetime Care Hospice, 1120 S. Main St., Newark, NY 14513 in Elaine's memory.
