Rochester: Went to be with the lord Thursday, December 24, 2009, at age 81. She was the loving mother of Vicki (Dennis) VanGrol, Richard "Butch" (Lisa) Heckman, Thomas (Michelle) Heckman and Janice (Erich) Ruppert; beloved grandmother of Cyad, John, Rick, Thomas, Melissa, Joshua, Erich, Raymond and Rene and 11 loving great grandchildren; also survived by sister, Janet (Robert) Tiefert; loving nephew Bill (Mary) Heckman; also other nieces, nephews and many dear friends at the Charles Settlement Senior Center and also her kitty, Fluffy.
Family and friends may call Tuesday 5-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. where her Funeral Service will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Road North, Rochester, New York 14609 or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 1200 Scottsville Road, Rochester, New York 14624 in her memory.
