Mom was born in 1924 at a time very few of us could possibly understand. Her father was a farmer and many hours with her siblings were spent doing chores on the farm. Even from such humble beginnings she graduated high school, and earned her bachelor's degree. Mom married our father Richard and they had five children. Elizabeth stayed at home to take care of their children while pursuing her master's degree in teaching. When the youngest had entered school she got her first teaching job. For the next 40 years she taught school in New York and later in Florida.
In the same period of time, Elizabeth was also a minister's wife. She taught Sunday school and with her musical background directed the choir and also sang solos for the Sunday Services. She continued her service to God and in retirement played the piano for Sunday services until one month before she passed away.
Elizabeth was a devout Christian who spent her life raising a Christian family and doing her best to pass on her believe that Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. She left this world knowing that she was going to meet her Lord and Savior and all her loved ones in Heaven that had gone before her. She is now sitting at Jesus's feet.
