July 14 2020 at 11:50pm, in the arms of her loving family at home, Elizabeth E. Thorpe, just a day shy of her 90th birthday was called to peace by her mother.
Liz grew up in the town of Lyons Falls New York just outside the foot hills of the Adirondack Mountains. An avid outdoors woman, camping was a major part of her whole life and a source of many family memories. Liz was an active member of the community. From den mother, little lassie coach to foster parent and animal lover her heart was always full of love to share.
She is predeceased by her mother Ethel Barnes, father Ronald Shue, sister Ruth Shue. Her daughter Connie Hodecker. As well as her brother Stanley, sister in law Ellie Shue and former husband Richard Thorpe. She is survived by her daughter Deborah McClenaghan (Rick Hill) and Son Ronald Thorpe. Granddaughters Meaghan McClenaghan (Zachary VanDeWalle) Melissa McClenaghan-Damon (Nick Damon) and Lisa Hodecker. Grandson Kenneth Hodecker and great grand children: Kyleigh Love, Carter, Jace, Meilah Grace, Emalia, Xander and Silas. Loved and forever missed by nieces, nephews and god children.

Calling hours for her family and friends will be held August 1st 2-4 at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals 2636 Ridgeway Avenue with a private service for the family to follow. Celebration of life, to which all are welcome, at a private residence at 6pm.
