Rochester: Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 15th 2019 at age 83. Predeceased by his son, Kenneth; grandson, James Sr. "Shawn", great grandson, James Jr. Survived by his beloved wife, Bertha; children, Debra (Limous) Rush, Emmett Jr. (Dorothy) Davis, Dwayne (Lillian) Davis & Nathaniel Davis; grandchildren, Emmett III, Nathaniel Jr., Dwayne Jr., Jasmine, Rasheem, Emereeka, Erica, Tyshawn, Brittany, Daniel, Kenny, Deion; great grandchildren, Niquil, Dmari, Smaria, Amare'e, Emmere, Justice, London, Ian, Malayah, Emmett IV, Daniel, Kody, Caleb, Emery. Along with a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews & cousins.
Calling Hours will be held from 5-8 PM on Monday, May 20th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. Emmett's Funeral Ceremony will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 21st at God's Vision Ministries, 694 Hudson Avenue. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
