Gates: Went home to be with his Lord Monday, January 19, 2009 at age 69. Predeceased by parents; sister, Bobbi Patterson; best friend, Buddy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Loretta; dedicated dad to Ernest John Jr. (Christy) of Clearfield, PA., John K. (Lisa), Theresa M. (Allen) Caruso, Steven R. (Alicia); loving Papa to EJ, Jennifer, David, Breanna, Joshua, AJ, Erika, Alyssa, Michael, Jessica, MacKenzie and Dakota; sister, Marjorie Richards of Curwensville, PA.; brothers, Richard N. of Olanta, PA. and Wilbur G. of Avon, NY; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Happiness is being called Papa.
Family and friends may attend calling hours 1-3, 6-8 PM Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where a Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Friday. Entombment Riverside Cemetery.
