Rochester: Friday, April 25th, 2008, at age 74. Predeceased by her husband, Ivan Black. She is survived by her loving children, Patricia (Brian) Jenkins of GA, Linda (Mark) Ochsenbein of Oswego, NY, and Daniel (Danielle) Black; grandchildren, Imani and Nailah Jenkins, Christopher and Jacob Black; sisters Mamie (Mention) Gamble and Laurene (Johnnie) Nesmith both of SC; brothers, Booker, Joseph (Eve) and Fred (Wanda) Johnson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Esther was a member of the Power House Church of God in Christ.
Family and friends may call Monday, April 28th, 6-9 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, c/o Lifetime Care, Hospice of Rochester, 3111 Winton Rd., South, Rochester, NY 14623 in her memory.
