Eugene A Crandall

Eugene A Crandall (Gene), 86, died Dec. 17, 2023, with his family by his side.

Gene is survived by his current wife, Maida Burgess; children from his first marriage, John Crandall (Cindy) and Jennifer Lessard; his grandchildren, Shane, Jim (Ashley) and Ellen (Jason); and great Granddaughter Iris. He is also survived by his brothers, Ray Crandall (Karen) and Ned Crandall (Helen); and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife, Mary Ellen (d. 2005), his parents A. Pendry and M. Elizabeth, his brother Clifford and sister Mary.

Before working at Eastman Kodak, he was an auto mechanic for multiple dealers. Gene was very passionate about cars. He spent some time drag racing. He enjoyed astronomy and spent many hours developing and printing pictures. Gene was good natured, enjoyed his family and had a great sense of humor. He was very social and loved animals.

Friends may call on Tuesday January 2nd from 1:30 to 3:30 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Rochester, New York 14626. A brief funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at the funeral home at 3:30pm
Interment Oatka Cemetery, Scottville-Mumford Road, Scottsville NY 14546 at 10:00 AM on January 3rd.
