Suddenly on Saturday, February 11, 2006, at age 76. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 41 years, Celestine; daughters, Annette & Jeanette and mother, Elizabeth Powers. Survived by his children, Elizabeth (Dan Amreing), Celeste, Gary, Barbara, Greg (Susie), Cynthia, MaryAlyce, Anthony, Deno (Fan); grandchildren, Jeanette, Michael, Jennings, Dameion, Michelle, Josh, Adam, Kenny, Michelle, Taylor, Anthony, Samantha, Isabella, Laura, Ashley, Andrew, and Alice, along with 11 great-grandchildren. Eugene was a U.S. Army & Marine Corps Veteran, and an avid hunter and inventor. He will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday February 14, from 5 to 9 PM at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 15,10:30A.M. in St. Ambrose Church, 25 Empire Blvd. Interment at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association, Genesee Valley Region, 2113 Chili Avenue, Rochester, NY 14624.
