Eugenia "Gigi" Cronce

Passed away suddenly on August 9, 2024 at the age of 75. 

Predeceased by her parents, John & Anna Caiazzo; & Charlie Cronce.

She is survived by her son, Anthony (Denise) Caiazzo; grandchildren, Anthony Jr. Caiazzo, Giovanni Caiazzo, Jenna Ford & Evan Caiazzo; brother, Vincent Caiazzo; nephew, Robert Caiazzo; the sister she always wanted, Lorry Macaluso; dear friend Linda Polisseni; many extended family & friends in Brooklyn & Rochester, NY.

Jeannie Cronce was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1949. Her parents were first generation Americans raised by parents born in southern Italy. Jeannie was a street-smart, tough as nails lady raised on the streets of Brooklyn, NY. Her personality encompassed both intelligence and street-smarts making her tough and competitive while she retained the cherished title of “Daddy’s Little Girl” within her home. Jeannie suffered the loss of her first two children, both girls, during pregnancy but went on to birth and raise her son, Anthony who was the light of her life. As time went on, subsequent grandchildren became her obsession and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for any of them. She will always be remembered as “GiGi” because that’s what her last grandson, Evan, always called her. They may come later but they won’t come greater. 

Family will receive friends Friday, August 16, 2024, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm with a service immediately following at 7:00 pm, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue.
