Felix McWebsley Breedy was born July 16, 1944 in Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands with his signature right eye and face birthmark. He attended Road Town Elementary (Tortola, BVI) and graduated from Sts. Peter & Paul High School (St. Thomas, USVI) and the American Institute of Banking. When he was young, he loved climbing coconut trees, boating, fishing, running, and spending time with his family. He enlisted in the US Army in 1962. He served in many locations including Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Fort Dix, and lastly, Germany during the Vietnam War receiving the National Defense Service Medal. He moved into the Army Reserve until 1969.

After his military service he joined the workforce eventually becoming a customer services supervisor and operations manager with Bankers Trust (Deutsch Bank). In 1969, Felix married Doretha Taylor. He moved from New York to Newark, NJ and eventually settled in Irvington where he stayed until his death. He enjoyed baseball and bowling, which he won a number of trophies, going fishing, watching sports on TV, and traveling with his friends to attend NASCAR races. He was a mentor to many young men in his community. In his later years, he earned his CDL so he could drive buses and trucks. Also, he decided to become an umpire for the NJ State Baseball Umpires Association as well as the state's softball association, and a soccer referee in the School & College Officials Association. Throughout all of these accomplishments, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and hearing about his grandchildren. He was the most jovial person who always had a smile for each person he met. Felix loved that he was from the islands and eating fresh fish and mangos. During his last weeks, he was asked about his priorities and he said God was first in his life and being part of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Felix was preceded in death by his parents Reverend John and Zelda Breedy (nee Williams) and his brother Leon Franklin Breedy. He leaves behind his children in Virginia - Felicia and Michelle (daughters with Doretha Breedy); in Pennsylvania - Dorian (son with Lucinda Tisdale); and in California - Alicia (daughter with Paula Brayboy); his grandchildren Arianna and Amaris (Scott Stokes), Alexander (Armand Nailing), and David and Justin (Patrice Tisdale); his siblings Rita Williams, Rudell Breedy, Prudence Leusch, and John Breedy; brother-in-law Jeffrey Leusch; sisters-in-law Lauren and Valarie; seven (7) nephews (Rudy, Shawne, Justin, John, Calvin, Latief, Stephan), three (3) nieces (Dainya, Tiffany, Amber), forty-five(45) great nieces and nephews, and one (1) great grandniece; and many, many family and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
