Williamson: Passed away Saturday, June 28th, 2008 at age 83. He is predeceased by his first wife, May; brother, Robert; and sister, Beryl. He is survived by his devoted wife of 15 years, Nancy; children, Wayne (Donna), Randy (Chris), Jeff, Scott, Candy, Cheryl (Gerry) Barnes, Diane (Tom) McGinnis, Laurie Eaton, Olen (Sharon) Youngman; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Beverly Wiepert, Marjorie (Gerald) Burnett, Winona Ellwein; brother, Wallace Sawyer; sister-in-law, Beverly (Glenn) Gilliland; many nieces & nephews.
Francis was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran serving as a pilot during WWII in the Pacific Theatre and was involved in the evacuation of Iwo Jima.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 3rd from 10-11 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. where Military Honors will be held at 11 AM immediately followed by a Memorial Service. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be directed to Veterans Outreach Center, 459 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.
