Fredrick K. O'Connor

Rochester: Fredrick K. "Rick" O'Connor passed away at 53 after a courageous fight with kidney disease on Wednesday, December 21st. He was predeceased by mother, Linda Dart; sister, Linda Rae O'Connor and niece, Tara Lynn Powers. Survived by son, Kyle Kristian O'Connor; step-father, Albert Rowles; sisters, Gale Sue Watkins and Marlee (Rick) Colon; nephews, Fredrick Damon Watkins, Richard "Ricky" Colon; nieces, Autumn Rae Schmidt, Brianna Kidman; along with many other aunts, cousins, great nieces, nephews and friends.

Rick was born in the City of Rochester, he went to high school at John Marshall in the 10th Ward. He then started his 30+ year career in the restaurant business at many locations until he found East Ridge Family Restaurant. This is where he happily spent the last years of his career. He dabbled in writing and playing guitar, but most of his time and energy was spent on being a dedicated and loving father.

The family will receive friends at a Celebration of Life on Sunday January 15th from 2-5 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. At 5 PM the family will start to share stories and memories of Rick.
