Predeceased by his parents, John and Janet (Dolly) Viavattine.

Survived by his daughter, Amanda Zicari. Former Spouse, Jackie Viavattine. Brothers. John (Maryann) Viavattine, Rick (Mary Sue) Viavattine. Many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Close friend, Rachael Stein and her children, Jayce and Layla.

Gary was a devoted father, brother, and friend to many. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He was retired from the RCSD and his career as an electrician. He will be remembered as an avid Chicago Bears fan, that was easy going and fun loving. He was always making people laugh and feel at ease. He will be deeply missed and those that knew him will fondly remember what a kind, loving, and good-hearted man he was to his family and friends.

The family will receive friends 4-7pm Friday February 28, 2025 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 ridgeway Ave. (west of Long Pond Rd.) A funeral service will follow visitation at 7pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
