George Diem, Jr.

Peacefully on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at age 76 with his loving wife of 51 years, Joan at his side. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Protz. Survived by his sisters, Ruth Near, Virginia Mestler, Eleanor Bergen, brother-in-law, Gary Henry and many nieces and nephews. George was a graduate of East High School, class of 1949. After serving in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, he worked at Friden/Singer as Chief Type Designer. In 1973, George and his wife opened Frametastic Picture Framing in the Sea Breeze area of Irondequoit. George will be remembered as a devoted husband and friend to all.
There will be no prior calling hours. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, November 5 at 11:00 A.M. in Irondequoit Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 E Henrietta Road, Suite 401, Rochester, NY 14620.
