Rochester: A dear heart stopped beating... passed away peacefully on this day Monday, May 11, 2009 at age 83. Predeceased by the love of his life, Elizabeth "Erzsike", father, mother, sister and brother. George "Apu" leaves behind daughter, Elizabeth "Babi"; sons, Frank "Feri" and George "Gyuri" (Pam) Millinghoffer; grandchildren, Michelle (Mike) Giles, Michael Santangelo, Tina McAmoyle; great-grandchildren, Zoe and Elliot.
George was born in Hungary and came to America to live the dream and make good on that promise of a better life. He worked for Kodak for 22 years including the space program in the 70's and was a member of the Hungarian Club.
Family and friends may attend calling hours, 6-8 PM Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where a celebration of George's life will be held 10 AM Friday. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
