Predeceased by his loving wife of 39 years; Madeline "Pat" Haines.
Survived by his Grandsons; David Sweeney (US Navy), Matt (Becky) Burton.
Daughter; Veronica (Ray) Brooks. Great -Grand daughters; Brooke Sweeney, Tara (Tony) Vasta.
George was a life member of Barnard Fire Dept., Barnard Exempts, Greece Volunteer Ambulance. He volunteered at Unity Hospital for 39 years, also Honor Flight Rochester. George retired from Kodak with 40 years of service. He served as a Private First Class Army Scout in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
Friends may call 1-4pm, 6-8pm Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave, Rochester, NY 14616. On Wednesday morning, George's mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 am. in the Church sanctuary.
Interment Falls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to Honor Flight Rochester, Inc. P.O. Box 23581 Rochester, NY 14692 in memory of George.
