Peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at age 89. He was predeceased by his wife, Evie Mennie in 1989. He is survived by his loving companion, Virginia Voll; 4 loving daughters, Barbara (Joseph), Donna, Judith (Stanley) Marcello and Roberta (Brad) Brown-Pixley; 11 grandchildren, Christine and Allison Mahurin, Stanley, Samuel, Michelle and Anthony Marcello, Heather and Rob Lowry, Nicole Benjamin and Paul Brown; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Christina Diedrickson; special family, Marty and David Banister and Roxanne and Michael Gross. George was a United States Veteran, serving during WW II and retired from Sibley's in 1980.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 24th from 11-1 PM at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd., where a Memorial Service will immediately follow at 1P.M. Interment Private. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Rochester Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Rd. S., Rochester, NY 14623.
