Seneca Falls & Rochester: Passed peacefully March 11, 2022 at the age of 89.
George was born February 22, 1933 the son of Calvin & Wanda Groff Stuck. He graduated from Mynderse Academy. He served in the Army. After he became part owner of the Wagon House in Ovid, NY. He worked for his brother DeLoss at Seneca Pipe & Paving, worked for Goulds Pumps as a supervisor retired moved to Florida, & he worked for St Paul's Catholic Church in Daytona Beach in Florida.
George was a local country music legend. He started playing when he was 13. His band was the Night Riders, they played in all of Seneca County, especially in the Wagon House & the Franklin Hotel in Waterloo. He also had a band he named North Country in Port Orange, Florida, they played at all the clubs.
George was an avid hunter, he belonged to the Kuney Town Sportsman's Club. He was a master at everything he did in life. Their wasn't anything he could not fix or build.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Karen A. Suhr Stuck; children, Connie (Gary) DeWall, CarolAnn (Rick) Waite, Steven (Karen) Stuck, & Robert Curtis; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; brother, Carl (Janice) Stuck; & many nieces, nephews, & friends
Predeceased by his son, Drake James VanDyne; brothers, LeRoy Keller, Walt Stuck, LeVonne Stuck, Millard Stuck, DeLoss Stuck, Charles Stuck, & Paul Stuck; sisters, Eva Reynolds, Ruth Zona, Joyce Frankensfield, & Donna Stuck.
Calling hours will be March 20, 1-3pm & 5-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. Burial will take place in spring at Fayette Rural Cemetery.
