Passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 18, 2023 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Alma, and by his longtime love of over 30 years, Rhea Fox.
He is survived by his sons David, Steven, and Bill Adams; daughters Sandra LeBlanc and Amy O'Coin (of Virginia); sister Charlotte (Jim) Bimmler and Patty Hahn (of Mississippi); stepdaughter Terri (Chris) Cooper; stepson Michael (Martha) Kenyon, and eight grandchildren, Julie, Jeanine, Rhiannon, Jeremy, Josh, Cody, Kyle, and Casey.
Ben was always sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the outdoors with the younger generations. As an avid hunter and outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending time at his camp with family.
He loved all aspects of shooting, and in his prime he was recognized at the local and state level as a trap and skeet champion. He would always spend part of his day at the kitchen table working and finishing The New York Times crossword puzzle. He was a truly gentle soul who will be missed by all.
