PITTSFORD- Gerald E. Dumont, 80, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022.
Jerry was born in Ellenburgh, NY, on November 17, 1941 to the late Gerald and Ruth Dumont Sr. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. After his military service he went on to work as a machinist at Xerox for over 35 years. In his retirement he loved to hunt, fish, and travel with his friends and family. He was the husband and partner of Karen Dumont for over 40 years.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Geneva Matlack, and Ronald Dumont.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen, his children, Debbie (Todd Swisher) Dumont, and Jerry Dumont III, his grandchildren, Samantha, Nathan, Justin, and Ryan, his sisters, Elizabeth Dumont, Ginger Hessel, and Diana (Joe) LaDue, and the mother of his children, Linda Dumont.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester, NY on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A graveside service will be held at Ascension Garden Cemetery, 1900 Pinnacle Rd, Henrietta, NY 14467, on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 10am. Those who wish to attend may gather at the main gate.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jerry's name to the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Association.
