Rochester: Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on February 3rd, 2008, at age 64. He is predeceased by his father, Edward Jerome. Survived by his mother, Loretta; sons, Michael (Karen), John (Jessica); grandchild, Amanda Reed; brothers, John (Lyn), Edward (Theresa); nieces, Julia Kolaski and Rachael Aumick.
Gerald was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Co. and a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He also enjoyed the last 10 years of his retirement as an avid walker and fisherman.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lifetime Care, the third floor staff, especially the 3100, 3200, and 3400 wing at Park Ridge Hospital, and Dr. Michael Herbowy for their loving support and care.
Friends are invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, February 6th from 5-7 PM ONLY at New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Interment, Private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and Unity Health Foundation c/o the Hospice Unit in his memory.
