Gerald Peter Spino
Passed suddenly June 13, 2023 at the age of 76 after a 5-year battle with cancer.

Predeceased by his son, Scott Spino; parents, Peter & Florence Spino; & 4 siblings.

Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Geri Spino; daughter, Kristen (Dan) Hart; grandchildren, Alyssa Hart, Madison Hart, & Jonathan Hart; sister, Patti (Russ) Bornstein; nephew, Brandon (Victoria) Dill; many close friends & other family Members.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather(papa). His grandchildren always made him smile and warmed his heart with love. He was a good friend who loved sharing his embellished stories with his family and friends.

He loved listening to the Beach Boys, Eagles, Chicago and watching the Dallas Cowboys, The Buffalo Bills & Golf. He was an avid sports fan who liked to bowl, play baseball, play basketball and coach. He refereed basketball and umpired baseball. His achievements were as follows: 300 bowling game, 2008 inducted into the NYS Hall of Fame, 2011 USSSA Softball Hall of Fame, 2022 RSA Hall of fame – Man of the Year. If he was not playing sports, he was watching them on TV.

For over 25 years he enjoyed playing golf with his many friends at Caledonia CC. He liked meeting at Jim Ground Round and sharing his stories with old friends.

The establishment of the Scott Spino Foundation in memory of his beloved son Scott was his greatest passion. He was grateful to his many friends and family for the commitment and support of the mission of the foundation which was to make a difference in the life of a child through the Literacy, Warm and Scholarship Programs.

He is now at peace. Jerry will be deeply missed…his wonderful memories will be forever cherished. He left this world but not our hearts.
