Rochester: Sunday, September 19, 2010, age 85. He is survived by his loving daughters, Barbara (Maurice) Rivera, Patricia (Thomas) Ransom; grandchildren, Kelly Lane, Shannon Nevol, Sarah Talarowski, Ethan Ransom, Timothy Ransom; great-granddaughters, Marqelle Nevol, Maurissa Degaugh and Victoria Murphy and dearest friend, Ruth Berns.
Gerald was a WWII Army veteran and was one of the First Participants in the Honor Flights of Rochester. He was a member of the American Legion.
Retired from Rochester Housing Authority. He also was a member of the Avon Historical Society, Ontario Historical Society, Genesee Valley Bottle Collectors Association, International Society of Apple Parer Enthusiasts. Gerald has one of the largest collections of apple parers in the United States.
Family and friends may call Friday, September 24th, 5-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 9:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, 534 Oxford St. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Avon, NY.
