Rochester: Died peacefully March 23, 2010 at age 83. Predeceased by his 1st wife, Gertrude; the love of his life, Dottie Meridew, grandson, Albert; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Survived by his children, Robert (Cheryl), Rose Marie (Norman) Murray, Sandy Gustyn (Willie Sanford), Kathy (Mike) Barnard; son-in-law, Ken Gustyn; step-children, Penny and John Meridew; 9 grandchildren; and spouses; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; brother, Richard (Joan) and many nieces and nephews. Gerard was a United States Army Veteran serving during the WWII and a retiree of Xerox after 22 years of service.
There will be no prior calling hours. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 25th at 11 AM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Interment White Haven Memorial Park. The family requests the courtesy of no flowers. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Rochester Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Rd. S., Rochester, NY 14623.
