Gertie was born on July 6, 1945 in Barnwell, South Carolina to Raymond and Gertrude Durant Riley.

In 1963 she graduated from Butler High School in Barnwell, SC. She relocated to Rochester, NY where she became affiliated with First Church of God where she served as a choir member and youth leader. She later became affiliated with Greece Assembly of God where she faithfully served in providing assistance to the church secretary.

In 1967 she was united in marriage to Bobby Warren and they were blessed with one son. Gertie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved by all who knew her.

She was retired from Rochester Psychiatric Hospital as a Nursing Assistant with 25 years of service and she was later employed with Career Systems where she was employed for 10 years.

Gertie passed peacefully Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at age 74. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Bobby; children, Stacey, Tonya and Sean; grandchildren, Delon, Giovanni, Jasonna, Alexia; sisters, Emma (Joseph) Curry, Lula Steward, Deloris Evans, Bernita (Jesse) Smith; brothers, James Riley, Raymond Riley, Jr. and many nieces and nephews.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted, husband Bobby Warren; two sons, Stacey Warren, Rochester, NY and Sean Williams of New York, NY, one daughter, Tonya Graham, Saratoga Springs, NY; two wonderful grandsons, Delon and Giovanni; two beautiful granddaughters Jasonna and Alexis; four sisters, Emma (Joseph) Curry, Lula "Sam" Steward and Bernita (Jesse) Smith of Rochester, NY, Deloris Evans, Barnwell, SC; two brothers, James Riley and Raymond Riley, Jr of Rochester, NY; four nieces, Stephanie Curry, Denise Hampton, Nikki Brown and Karen Moore; two nephews, Keith Steward and Derrick Steward; Godchildren, Keith Warren and Arela Teranta and many other cousins, church family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 19, 2019 from 4-7 PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11 AM at Greece Assembly of God, 740 Long Pond Rd. Interment Falls Cemetery.
