Gertrudis "Mita" Ramos, a loving mother, wife & grandmother at age 98, passed away Wednesday morning, January 20, 2021, at her residence.
She was born July 23rd, 1922, in San Sabastian, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Sixto & Christina Ramos.
Mita is survived by her husband of 62 years, Andres Cruz; Her Eight sons, Angel, Thomas, Gingue, Kike, Raymond, Wilson (Milagros Pagan) , Anibal (Sonia Ramos) and Santo; Four daughters, Luz, Minerva, Ramona (David Gonzalez) and Gloria (Luis Torres); Twenty- three grandchildren Luminada, Matilda, Maria, Marta, Lorena, Antonio, Danny, Albita, Amid, Celeste, Raymond, Wilson (Jackie) , Alex, Richard, Kiko, Yahaira, Cynthia, Hector, Walkiria, Mildred, Tiffany (Patric), DJ and Luis, along with another four generations of grandchildren.
She was OUR homemaker, an angel placed in our lives to keep us all united and together as ONE. She enjoyed cooking, hosting for her family, singing, dancing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She also leaves many other family members (Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren) and friends who will sadly miss her and that smile that lid up every room she walked into.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 at 12pm.
Location: The Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, 2650 Lake Avenue Rochester, NY 14612 with Pastor Carlos.
Viewing will take place every 15 mins, with the respects of the COVID regulations that are in place within the 10am – Noon time frame. 20 guests at a time and we would like to give an opportunity to those that would like to pay their respects.
We kindly ask that you be allowed your temperature taken and that you wear a mask when entering the chapel.
