Glenn graduated from Waterloo High School in 1945 near the end of World War Two. He enlisted in the Navy and went through boot camp at NTS Sampson. He served aboard the USS Houston, a light cruiser. The war in Europe was over by then and he had the privilege of being part of a good-will cruise around the European coastline.
After his time in the Navy he went to business school at RBI. Soon after he met his wife, Irene Thomas, and they were married in 1948. They settled in Rochester and raised their five children there.
Glenn worked with the Boy Scouts for over twenty years, nurturing many Eagle Scouts, including his own son, Eric. He always looked forward to his canoe trips while at Massawepie. He made many long-term friends through Scouts, youngsters and leaders alike.
Glenn worked at McCurdy's downtown in the large appliances department until his retirement in the 80s. He and his family faithfully attended Dewey Avenue Presbyterian Church for years.

Since retiring, Glenn and his wife have been on numerous trips around the country to visit siblings, kids and grand-kids. At home, his time was spent maintaining the yard and pool.
Glenn said that his proudest moments were the births of his children. He loved his family, his country, music, and his church.
Glenn was the greatest guy you would want to meet. His friends, neighbors, and most of all, his family will miss him. We imagine him as an eagle soaring over the Adirondack lakes he traveled in life.
