Gloria Jean Figgolari-Duge

August 15, 1959 — November 1, 2021

IRONDEQUOIT- Gloria Jean Figgolari-Duge, 62, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Gloria Jean Figgolari-Duge was born in Cortland, NY on August 15, 1959 the daughter of the late William Dominick and Melba Ester Figgolari.

Known fondly as 'Beanie, Aunt Glor, Gloria Jean, or Mama Duge', Gloria will be greatly missed by her family and friends who knew her to be full of life and a spark. She enjoyed each and every moment and lived a full life in her short time with us. She was a strong and faithful woman.

After Groton high school, she graduated from Alfred State University as the first-ever female automotive technician student; her degree led to a long and fulfilling career at Kodak, where she retired after 36 years.

An excellent mechanic, Gloria spent time riding her Harley Davidson, dirt bikes, and one of her brand new mopeds. This love for anything motorized and spark for adventure was passed on to her only son Cody. Gloria's love was infectious and continues on to many of her nephews and nieces who enjoyed their very first rides with their Aunt Glor cheering them on. Gloria always brought her passion to anything she did; it was always evident in her words and actions.
She enjoyed traveling with her family and spending time with her loved ones. Her heart was enormous - she never missed a birthday and everyone she leaves behind will miss her Christmas cookies, especially those who spent time with her each year making them by the dozen. Most of all, her laugh will be missed, which could fill a room with joy. Her lucky loved ones will each remember her by their good memories spent with her playing cards, catching up over dinner, or laughing together to the point of barely being able to breathe.

Gloria is predeceased by: Her parents, William and Melba Figgolari, and three brothers Edward O'Brien, Louis O'Brien, and Sherry O'Brien, as well as her nephews, Mark O'Brien and Terry O'Brien.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Darryl Duge, and son, Cody Duge, two brothers, John (Myrna) O'Brien and David O'Brien, her sisters Rose Wright, Margie Figgolari and Joanne (Mark) Sautter, as well as her many nephews and nieces: Sean O'Brien (Monica), Erin (Matthew), Wilson, Kelly (Aaron) Rusz, David O'Brien, Jason (Bronwyn) O'Brien, Michael (Tiffany) Skinner, Andrea Cargill, Nicole Waters, Heather Sautter, Jessica Cargill, Jacob Sautter, Jessica Wyant, Zach Wyant, Jake O'Brien, and many great nieces and nephews - each of whom has been blessed by her presence.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at (Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church 5000 Mt Read Blvd, Rochester, NY 14612, on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:30am)
