Gloria Santiago Molina, 92, of Ponce Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 27th, 2021 in Rochester, NY.
Gloria, affectionately referred to as Goly, was a beacon of strength and values as our families matriarch. She embodied the results of hard work, through struggle, wisdom, character and an appreciation for the small things in life. Her life, though constantly confronted with new challenges such as living through the end of the great depression, struggling through poverty and moving between Puerto Rico and New York, her perseverance taught and continues to teach us that life is only worth living when it comes with adventures and blockades. Above all her pride was her own family rather than her personal accomplishments. Raising 10 children lovingly and as best she could all the while working as a seamstress and providing a strong foundation for the community, by helping with food and household tasks. As she got older, she enjoyed her time with game shows, puzzles and her love of coloring, along with the occasional birdwatching. No matter what she did she did so with dignity and grace providing an example for men and women in our family alike.
She was preceded by her loving husband Miguel Bauza, and Survived by her ten children; Zoraida, Nelson, Miguel, Julia, Maria, Anna, Dionicia, Ariel, Nancy, and Miguel Angel. In addition to grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
