Gordon Scott Ferris
November 13, 1936 — November 10, 2023
Went home to be with the lord, surrounded by his family on November 10, 2023 1 day before his 87 birthday.
Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elaine Ferris; daughters, Michelle (Douglas) Korn, Kristine (Jay Nigro) Ferris, and Dawn Ferris; grandchildren, Russell Korn, Scott Korn, James Simmons, and Ellen Walck; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Sharon (Frank) Gurzynski, and Richard (Beth) Ferris; and many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Predeceased by his sister, Janice Ferris.
"Gordy" as a young man joined the United States Air Force where he served for 4 years. He retired from Kodak after working for 27 years. Gordon, "The Old Buck", was a founding member of the New York Bowhunters Association. He spent many years traveling the country with his wife and was an avid Yankees fan.
Gordon was a devoted husband and father who loved and cherished his family.
Calling hours will be Friday November 17, 3-6pm, with services following at 6pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals.
