On Friday, March 24, 2017 Harvey James Griffin departed this life at home surrounded by family.
Predeceased by his parents James and Creola Griffin, his daughter Lynaya A. Griffin and by two brothers William and Albert Griffin.
He leaves to cherish his memory four children Tyrone Holt of Andrews, South Carolina, Harvey 'JJ' Griffin (Mindy) of Potsdam, New York, Jacqueline Lightle (Leroy) of Rochester, New York, Harvey 'Buck' Griffin of Vero Beach, Florida. Fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one brother Jimmy K. Griffin (Hattie) of Duluth, Georgia, three sisters Jannie McCray of Rochester, New York, Mary Fagan of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Maldonia Griffin of Lithonia Georgia; special niece Yolanda R. Jones (Pernell) of Rochester, New York; Aunts Ruth McCray of Rochester, New York, Mary Wilson of Andrews, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, church family, family and friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, March 31, 2017 from 11 am – 12 pm followed by services at 12 pm at Aenon Baptist Church 175 Genesee St Rochester, New York 14611.
